"Modern in concept, yet traditional in nature, River Hills is a pleasing blend of old and new design ideas unlike any other course at the beach. Presenting the golfer with a unique, challenging experience, this course will be pleasing to play every day." - Tom Jackson, Architect

Renowned golf course architect Tom Jackson knew exactly what he was doing when he designed River Hills. Quietly nestled among densely wooded terrain and rolling hills lies a visually stunning, challenging yet playable 18 holes. Low handicappers find the course to be a unique new challenge. At the same time, four sets of tees on each hole insure a great playing experience for golfers at any level.

A Distinctive New Look, With Greater Playability

We've recently enhanced the course to provide greater playability, with features like enlarged tees, giving players a greater teeing area. Bunkers have been reworked to improve visibility on the fairway, and hand-placed stone bulkheads better define the water features. On many holes, redirected sand hazards improve the pace of play. Benjy Hardee, the course's owner, says, " It is critical to pay attention to every detail. We are committed to doing just that at River Hills."

The fairways at River Hills meander through a community of lovely homes, often separated by dogwoods, live oaks, maples, cypress and pines. There are many water hazards on the course, yet most are lateral hazards. The course plays to 6,918 yards from the blue tees and 6,396 from the whites. The course's signature hole (the 17th) is 526-yard par 5 with a double dog-leg with water crossing in two areas.   Access Rates and Tee Times.
